Almost Gone...

The Dumb Way Round

With less than 24 hours left before heading off to the US, I can't help but be excited. The trip of 2014 with my 3 of my best mates is going to be fantastic!

What's on the agenda? Riding, adventure, friendship and good times.

The basic itinerary is (http://goo.gl/mipKgw):

Northeast USA, from Tennessee to Montreal via Washington DC and New York, then across to Niagara Falls and Chicago, before heading to Memphis and Kentucky, and then back to Tennessee before heading back to Maryland/West Virginia

Expecting to land in Washington DC on Saturday afternoon and from there Paul will pick Andy and I up and we'll head to his place in Maryland. Sunday will be a bit of catch-up with Mandy and Marcus, plus Gracey (separate flight), and probably some sleep recovery. We'll also need to do some final preparations around what to take and what to leave behind, make sure everything fits (new leathers will take some wearing in...) and generally make sure we have everything we're going to need.

On the Monday we'll head down the I81 to Knoxville Tennessee to pick up the bikes. This is a 7 hour trip, so it'll be an early start so we can get the bikes and check them out, make sure things fit and that the bikes don't have any unexpected issues. A quick ride up the Dragon's tail might be in order :-)))

The potential for new experiences and lots adventure is high. I'm looking forward to updating the blog on a regular basis as part of capturing our lives over the 3 week period.
